Increasing my knowledge about Do-It-Yourself fashion and crafts is something I take very seriously. I’m always looking for ways to learn new skills…for FREE, which is why I am addicted to the public library.
I recently picked up a book at my library entitled Making Leather Purses & Totes by Lisa Galvin (Sterling Publishing Co. 2005). I really liked this book. While the style of the projects was not my personal taste, it was very user friendly with innovative and simple techniques of which I will integrate into my own designs.
I recently learned that leather is pretty inexpensive when purchased in bulk. My goal is to create a couple of leather purses this summer using hand-stitched methods.
